Dear Diary 2014, Week 20

12th May  to 18th May 2014
This weeks image is from an album of silk designs by James Leman {1688-1745} , 1706 - 30.
It is a busy piece but hugely inspirational. I particularly like the larger pink flowers and smaller blue flowers. I have interpreted them into a stitch sampler using Silk Ribbon, of  2mm, 4mm and 7mm thickness, utilising the Ribbon Stitch.

  3. Oh wow! Another great interpretation this week. I love that tonal ribbon - not only the ribbon, but the blouse-y effect you created with it. Lovely!
